Memorial services for Emily May Campbell, 52, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating.
Memorials may be made to your local SPCA in Emily’s memory. The family will be at 1004 Pine Street in Sweetwater.
Campbell died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 28, 1960 in McConnelsburg, PA. Emily married Eddy Campbell on Dec. 24, 1994 in Sweetwater. Emily was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and had lived in Sweetwater for the past 20 years. She had worked for Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital, Sweetwater and Roscoe Health Care Centers, Dr. Larry McEachern, and Hendrick Medical Center in critical pediatrics. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed working outside in the yard with her flowers. She loved to cook but most of all she loved her Dachshund puppies.
Survivors include her husband, Eddy Campbell of Sweetwater; sons, Charles LaPole & wife Cheryl of Fairview, Oregon; Tom LaPole & wife Karen of Abilene, and Ellis Woodcock III & family of Springfield, Tennessee; mother, Edith Rhodes of Eastman, Georgia; brother, Ronnie Gordon of Spotsylvania, Virginia; sister, Jodie Adkins of Eastman, Georgia; brother, Duane Bowles of Hagerstown, Maryland; grandchildren, Elizabeth LaPole of Abilene, John and Chris LaPole of Oregon, Bubba Kamer of Abilene, Cody Kamer of Abilene, and Emily LaPole of Abilene; sister-in-law, Martha Rippy of Sweetwater; brothers-in-law, Joel Campbell & wife Regina of Midland, and Randall Campbell & wife Pam of Cross Plains.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd & Elsie Rhodes, and her father, Gene Kerlin.
