The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 52 calls for service, issued three citations and made three arrests on Jan. 24, 2013.

The SPD received 32, 911 calls.

Accidents:
• 1700 block of Hailey.
• 400 block of E. Alabama.

Calls for service:
• Theft — 1700 block of Bell.
• Criminal trespass — 100 block of S. Hopkins.
• Assault — 100 block of S. Hopkins.
• Theft — 300 block of Lamar.
• Theft — 1200 block of E. Broadway.

Arrested by SPD:
• Dalton Dauel, 22 — Theft.
• Anthony Diaz, 26 — Family violence assault, impeding breath/injury to a child.
• Merced Flores, 30 — Warrants.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had seven calls for service, served no civil papers and made two arrests on Jan. 24, 2013.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Rita Jo Chase, 57, of Sweetwater — Public intoxication.
• Lynn Norris Looby, 55, of Sweetwater — Warrant/surety withdrawal.

Calls for service:
• Vehicle accident — South Highway 70/Highway 153.
• Abandoned vehicle — Loop 170.
• Inmate transport/medical — E. Arizona.
• Inmate transport/medical — E. Arizona.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 260 west bound.
• Vehicle fire — I-20 MM 242 west bound.
• MHMR transport — San Angelo.

Total in Custody: 40

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to 11 ambulance calls and four fire calls over the past 24 hours.
• Eight ambulance calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• Two fire calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• One ambulance call in Nolan County.
• Two fire calls in Nolan County.
• Two out of town transfers.
