The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 42 calls for service, issued two citations and made one arrest on Jan. 29, 2013.

The SPD received 21, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Disorderly conduct — 1200 block of Ragland.

Arrested by SPD:
• Male Juvenile, 10 — Assault.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had 12 calls for service, served no civil papers and made one arrest on Jan. 29, 2013.
Arrested by NCSO:
• George Luis Parra, 42, of El Paso — Warrants/bond forfeiture.

Calls for service:
• Court Bailiff — County Court at Law.
• MHMR transport — Abilene.
• Suspicious person — CR 220/Bradford Lane.
• Lost property — CR 209.
• Suicide threat — Hylton Cemetery Road.
• Prisoner transport — Burnet.
• Traffic hazard — I-20 MM 254 east bound.
• Grass fire — I-20 MM 241.
• Traffic hazard — CR 247/CR 230.
• Suicide threat — Southview addition.
• Reckless driver — I-20 MM 239 east bound.
• Abandoned vehicle — I-20 MM 235 west bound.

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to 13 ambulance calls and eight fire calls over the past 24 hours.
• Seven ambulance calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• Five fire calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• One ambulance call in Nolan County.
• Three fire calls in Nolan County.
• Five out of town transfers.
