The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 35 calls for service, issued one citation and made two arrests on Feb. 14, 2013.

The SPD received 24, 911 calls.

Calls for service:
• Family violence and assault — 500 block of Newman.

Arrested by SPD:
• Emilio Cabrera, 38 — Theft.
• Male juvenile, 16 — Duty on striking.

The Nolan County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) had three calls for service, served no civil papers and made three arrests on Feb. 14, 2013.

Arrested by NCSO:
• Michael Leroy Rice, 65, of Sweetwater — Warrant/motion for adjudication.
• John Martin Anderson, Jr., 40, of Sweetwater — Warrant/theft & Reagan Co warrant/bond forfeiture.
• Ruben Ruiz, Jr., 51, Homeless — Warrant/violation of parole.

Calls for service:
• Stranded motorist — I-20 MM 242 W/B.
• Stray livestock — Old Eskota Rd.
• Assist Runnels Co/attempt to locate — HWY 153/S HWY 70.

Total in Custody: 44

The Sweetwater Fire Department responded to nine ambulance calls and no fire calls over the past 24 hours.
• Seven ambulance calls in the city of Sweetwater.
• Two out of town transfers.
