Thomas Lee Donohoo III (Tis), 66, of Mission, TX, died on June 14, 2013. He passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. T.L. was born in Hobbs, N.M. on Nov. 10, 1947. He was a graduate of Sweetwater High School. He was married to Beth Rash Donohoo from August of 1968 until her passing in 1992. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972. Mr. Donohoo was employed by Lack’s Furniture for over 30 years. He was an avid huntsman, boatman and artifact collector. He also had a passion for reading and learning that influenced all who knew him. T.L. was a gifted storyteller; he received great joy by captivating people with his humor, quotes and antidotes.
He is survived by his daughter, Breidi Toney (Jason) and his son, Captain Lee Donohoo (Bree). T.L. is also survived by four grandchildren, Ellen Toney, Madeline Donohoo, Heath and Mallory Toney. Finally, he is survived by his loving companion of 16 years, Sharron Shilvock.
He is predeceased by his father, Lt. Col. Thomas Lee Donohoo, Jr. and mother, Jane E. Donohoo of Sweetwater.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Kreidler Funeral Home. T.L was a great American and true patriot.
