TSTC West Texas will graduate 110 students on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Abilene Civic Center.
The Digital Arts program is graduating its very first cohort of artists, which includes Jarrad Hamilton who opened his first show at the Center for Contemporary Arts during Artwalk last week. Kathryn Black, an outstanding Welding Technology graduate is a non-traditional student and has climbed to the top of her class. She has ambitions of working as an underwater welder.
A total of 72 students will be graduating with Associates of Applied Science Degrees, 38 students will be graduating with Certificates of Completion, four graduates are from the Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Associate Degree Program will receive the Texas Skill Standards Board - Recognized Credential Seal.
There will be 24 graduates with Board of Regents Honors (4.00 cumulative gpa every semester), 33 graduates with Honors (3.500 to 3.999 cumulative gpa), six DALE scholarship recipients and 19 Phi Theta Kappa Honor graduates
Texas State Technical College System (www.tstc.edu ) consists of four technical schools: TSTC Harlingen, TSTC Marshall, TSTC Waco, and TSTC West Texas, which has campuses in Abilene, Breckenridge, Brownwood and Sweetwater.
