12 Arrested After Day of Fights at Sweetwater High School; Superintendent Releases Statement


Twelve Sweetwater high school students were arrested by Sweetwater Police after a wild day of fights at Sweetwater High School.
There were five separate incidents involving minors. During the series of fights and the attempts to control the situation, multiple officers and school staff members were assaulted.
Charges will be pending as a result of the incidents.
Sweetwater Police Chief Brian Frieda spoke about the situation and called it a “wild day” and that there is “a lot to investigate” and that is was “unusual for Sweetwater”.
It is unknown what provoked any of the fist fights.
