43rd Colorado River Bike Fest Speeds to Finish Line

Over the past weekend, the Ballinger Noon Lions Club sponsored the 43rd Colorado River Bike Fest. The weather was excellent for a 5K bike event. The proceeds from the charity event will benefit the Lions Journey For Sight to stamp out blindness, measles around the world, supporting disabilities such as diabetes and Down Syndrome. We also support many community and school activities each year.
The event started on Saturday at 8:30 in the morning The route for the race was Highway 83 & Runnels County Courthouse- Ballinger. Participants either ran, walked or rode their bikes for the 5K and the 30K, 60K and 100K tours. T-Shirts were given out to the first one hundred participants.
