Bid awarded; water tank on schedule

The regular City Commission meeting was held at City Hall on Tuesday, July 11 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Commission Room of the City Hall, 200 E. 4th Street.
Roberts Construction has been awarded the bid regarding the Texas Water Development Board Water Line Replacement project that will replace a 10-inch water line in the vicinity of the new elevated storage tank located at 806 W. Arizona. Roberts has done several projects including the utility relocation along Highway 70 on Lamar Street. The bid for Roberts is $162,500. The motion for approving the bid to Roberts Construction was carried.
Regarding the elevated storage water tank, the tank has a new finish on it with a new coat of white paint. The logo should be finished by the end of the week. Landmark says that the crew to elevate the tank will be in around the middle to the latter part of August. The roof will follow and the interior riser pad and pertinences. The project is still on schedule to be online by the end of October.
