Blackwell will send 6 boys to regional meet

Blackwell has six boys who will advance to the regional track meet April 26-27 after top-four finishes at the 11-1A/12-1A area track meet on Tuesday held at Sterling City.
The three individuals to advance for Blackwell are Peyton Hinckley, who was first in the high jump (5-10); Devan Clower, third in the 800 (2:13.65); and Junior Guia, who was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 41-1 3/4. Blackwell will also send its boys 800 relay of Hinckley, Nathan Shipman, Cameron Coldiron and Carson Sorrells that was third with a time of 1:39.97.
Blackwell, which had 35 points at Tuesday’s area meet, also got points from its 400 relay which placed sixth (47.23) with Clower, Shipman, Coldiron and Sorrells and with a sixth-place finish by Guia in the discus with a throw of 114-7 1/2 at Sterling City.
