The 11th Annual Ridin’ for Cash Bull Bash is coming to the Nolan County Coliseum this weekend.
The event is coming up this Friday and Saturday February 21 and 22. Friday night’s event on February 21 will be an all-youth roughstock event and Saturday will be Pro Bull Riders and a Bull Poker Round. The doors will open each night at 6:00 and event performance starts at 7:00. Children under 5 years of age get in for free.
For spo sorship information interested parties can call Annie Miles at 325-338-8212 or email ridinforcash@aol.com
Each night, there will be a free calf scramble for kids 14 and under. There will also be free giveaways.
T-shirts will be for sale and there will be a chance to win a Louis Vitton handbag.
As a result of the success of the Bull Bash, Cash was able to go to Camp Villa last year along with over 50 others. There would not have been a camp without bull bash covering the majority of the cost. Because of some of the skills he learned at Vamp VILLA he was able to successfully snow ski with his brother over the Christmas break. The camp is extremely helpful for these kids and is greatly needed. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit visually impaired children in our area.
Cash is thriving in our community and that has a lot to do with the awareness that Bull Bash has taught over the years. Perceptions are changing as a result, as well. People don’t treat Cash as if he is disabled, they are aware that he has a disability but they also know he is very capable of doing anything he puts his mind to.
