Emmanuel Fellowship undergoes Sanctuary construction

Emmanuel Fellowship Church will be in an alternate worship location for the next two Sundays. As they finish construction on their expansion project, the church will meet for worship Nov. 4 and Nov. 11 at the City Auditorium at 11 a.m. For the past several months, the church has been steadily working to add 1600 sq. ft. of space to the sanctuary with the goal of doubling their seating capacity. The renovation also includes enlarging the church foyer to accommodate Sunday morning traffic and create a seamless connection between the two primary entrances. The renovation will also feature a redesigned sound system, an upgraded professional lighting system, enhancements to media presentation and a new church baptistry. All regular children’s ministry activities will still occur at the church during this final phase of construction. Parents are welcome to take children to their regular classes on Sunday morning and then make their way to the City Auditorium at 400 Locust Street for the worship service. Wednesday evening children’s ministry will still occur in the Kid’s Space area of the building as well. The grand opening for the new sanctuary will be Sunday, Nov. 18. The church will be back to their regular Sunday morning schedule, meeting at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for a Thanksgiving and celebration service. For continued updates on renovation and church scheduling, log onto the church website at www.efcsweetwater.com.
