Improving Stangs will get big test vs. Hirschi

Sweetwater used a strong second-half effort to get its first win of the season last Friday when it traveled to Big Spring.
The 48-27 victory saw the team gradually take control after a back-and-forth first half that came to an end with the Mustangs clinging to a 28-21 lead.
It was just the opposite of what had happened a week earlier, when Sweetwater opened its season at home with a 49-27 loss to Cisco. In that game, the Mustangs trailed 28-21 at intermission and allowed the Loboes to go on a 21-0 run to put the game away in the final two periods.
Sweetwater will need its ‘A’ game for both halves this Friday when it plays host to Wichita Falls Hirschi. The Huskies, like the Mustangs, are 1-1 but against a much tougher schedule.
