A fire broke out at the Apple Creek Apartments late Sunday night, along the terrace of an apartment in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at around 10:44 p.m. The fire started on the edge of the balcony. The fire then quickly spread into the wall and ceiling off the terrace. Firefighters tore down part of the outer ceiling and pulled down part of the interior ceiling to get to the extension of the flames. The outside wall of the balcony bore the most extensive damage from the fire. The occupants were not displaced and the apartment was saved.
