NCUW gun raffle begins

Nolan County United Way along with co-sponsors; Smartt Move, LLC and WETS, Inc. are set to kick off the Nolan County United Way's Third Annual Rattlesnake Round-Up Gun Raffle, benefiting NCUW's nine local agencies and the thousands of Nolan County residents they support.  These agencies are Boy Scouts of America-Texas Trails Council, Cancer Services Network, Gateway Family Services, Girl Scouts-Caprock Council,  Medical Reserve Corp, Sweetwater Back Pack Buddies, SNAP, West Texas Children's Advocacy Center and Women's Resource Center.Once again there will be three raffle prizes. The first prize is a 22-250 Savage Axis XP Camo Rifle/Scope Package, the second prize is a .40 Cal AR- JRC/Smith & Wesson Degicam and the third prize is a 12 ga. Remington Versa Max REALTREE AP HD. The winner does not have to be present to win and by law must be able to own and receive a firearm. A multiple ticket holder is eligible for multiples prizes and the prizes will be drawn in the order they appear.Ticket price is $5 each or five for $20 and the drawing will be held Saturday, March 8, at 5 p.m. at the Nolan County United Way Booth in the foyer at the Gun, Knife, & Coin Show. Raffle pre-sale began Feb. 5, and can be purchased from NCUW's supported agencies, at First Financial Bank's reception desk, by emailing, or by calling 235-9522. NCUW's volunteer board members will also have tickets available.
