New coaches will join SHS staff

Sweetwater High School head football coach and athletic director Ben McGehee has added Craig Jackson and Jason Brock to his current staff.
Jackson will be offensive line coach this season for the Mustangs and also be boys head track coach.
He has been in coaching 24 years and was at Hallettsville the past four years with other stops at Rosebud-Lott, Booker, Pecos, Louise and Blanco. He earned his college bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and his wife’s name is Melanie.
Brock will assume football duties as the defensive secondary coach, and will also be an assistant basketball and track coach.
He has been in coaching for 10 years, the last two at Cameron Yoe as assistant football and head track coach. Brock also coached at San Angelo Central and Comanche and earned his college bachelor’s degree at Angelo State University.
Brock’s wife, Brianne, is the new assistant principal at the high school. The couple has three boys and one girl who are between the ages of 3 and 10.
