A truck hauling a trailer wrecked in front of the local TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) building along Interstate 20 (near mile marker 245) at around 3 p.m. on Sunday when the truck hydroplaned due to rain on the Interstate. No injuries were sustained from the wreck, but other wrecks were caused by the traffic backup along the Interstate, according to Sweetwater Emergency Services Manager Grant Madden. No transports were made from the other wrecks. According to Madden, the rain caused several wrecks over the weekend, including one motorcycle wreck on Saturday. The driver was transported to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
