Jonathan Fink
Staff Writer

Abilene Christian University’s Department of Language and Literature, with the support of The Grace Museum, will bring to Abilene award-winning writer and Cooper High School graduate Jonathan Fink at a poetry reading on Thursday, April 14.
Fink’s reading will take place from 7-7:50 p.m. in the ballroom at The Grace. The poetry reading will be followed by a book signing of Fink’s new, highly praised collection of poems, The Crossing.
Fink, who serves as associate professor and director of creative writing at the University of West Florida, has authored two poetry collections and received the Bronze Medal in Poetry in the 2015 Florida Book Awards for The Crossing. That book is currently a finalist for the Bob Bush Memorial Award for First Book of Poetry from the Texas Institute of Letters and Foreword Reviews‘ INDIEFAB Book of the Year Award in Poetry. In addition, Fink was named by Poets & Writers magazine as one of America’s 10 best “2015 Debut Poets.”
The appearance by Fink is part of the ACU Department of Language and Literature’s annual invitation to a poet of note to read his or her work and meet with students.
