Cooking the hotdogs for the night is Donald Hunt. Briskets will be cooked by Jimmy and Delaine Bailey, Larry and Dana Reed and Gary Watson. For the concert, and as part of the Clean Up Lake Sweetwater project, Ricky Painter, Shane Henry, Bo Vandiver, Bryan Owens and several other community members have been working tirelessly to clean up the amphitheater in time for this event. Painter, who is president of and began the Lake Sweetwater clean up board, recently spoke at a Sweetwater City Commission meeting, outlining the project and asking for help from the city and the community. Future plans to beautify Lake Sweetwater include a new boat ramp at the beach area, new playground equipment and new restrooms. Those working on the project would also like to make the public aware of illegal dumping that is plaguing the area. If you witness illegal dumping on county roads, city parks or at Lake Sweetwater, please report it to the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office.Be sure to head out to the Lake Sweetwater Amphitheater this Saturday. Bring a lawn chair and your cooler, kick back and enjoy the free live entertainment. Also, check out the Clean Up Lake Sweetwater Facebook page to see how you can help:
