Several Abilene district roadways scheduled for maintenance

Staff Writer

TxDOT contractors today began work on a maintenance contract that includes various roadways in Scurry, Fisher, Haskell, Stonewall and Kent Counties. The crack seal project will repair cracks in the pavement to maintain the integrity and safety of the roadway.
Awarded to D&M Contractors, LLC, of Van, TX, the $319,488 project is expected to be completed by early January 2016, assuming there are no weather or other unexpected delays. During this time variable lane closures will be in place with pilot cars guiding drivers through some work zones. In some cases, brief delays can be expected.
