Drivers in Sweetwater are paying an average of $3.17.Lower crude oil prices stemming from economic concerns both at home and abroad have been the primary reason for the steady decline in retail gasoline prices that started at the beginning of April.“In Texas, drivers are now paying an average of $44 to fill up a typical 14-gallon size tank,” said AAA Texas/New Mexico Representative Doug Shupe. “AAA Texas encourages people to continue to think about ways to save money on fuel by keeping their vehicles maintained according to manufacturer’s recommendations and inspecting their tire tread and inflation.” To help consumers identify quality auto repair shops that can assist in the maintenance and repair of their vehicles, AAA offers the Approved Auto Repair program as a free public service.
