Sweetwater JV district track results

Sweetwater junior varsity athletes went to Big Spring for their district track meet that was held April 3-4 and several of them placed.
Sweetwater scored 125 points for second place in the JV boys division. Harrison Foster placed first in the long jump (19-3) and was second in the 110 hurdles (17.02) and third in the 300 hurdles (45.69); Armando Torres was third in the 800 (2:15.48); Jackson Dodd was first in the triple jump (38-2 1/2) and fourth in the 110 hurdles (19.14) and 300 hurdles (46.32); Michael McDonald was sixth in the 110 hurdles (21.66); Cade Needham was fourth in the triple jump (36-3) and sixth in the 100 (12.32); Murray Cai was fifth in the 400 (1:00.92); Joe Angel Reyna was third in the 200 (24.94); and Nick Granado was third in shot put (36-3 1/4). Sweetwater won two relays as the 400 relay of Reyna, Ayden Rosas, Needham and Ethan Brockman had a winning time of 48.06 and the 1600 relay of Foster, Torres, Rosas and Brockman won in 3:40.03. The 800 relay of Reyna, Rosas, Ector Martinez and Brockman was second (1:37.31).
For the girls, Mia Valdez was second in the long jump (14-1) and 300 hurdles (54.62) and fourth in the 100 hurdles (19.96); Claire Paty was fourth in the 400 (1:13.02); Alazai Perez was sixth in the 200 (31.95); Kendale Orozco was second in the shot put (27-8); and Victoria Neri was fourth in the shot put (27-0 1/2). Sweetwater also had a 400 relay consisting of Alissa Garza, Perez, Nikki Gutierrez and Paris Houston that was third.
