Three Nolan County Representatives Serve on Workforce Solutions Board

Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas (formerly known as the Texas Employment Commission - TEC) is committed to helping the citizens of our 19-county region prepare for, locate, and obtain jobs and careers that suit individual strengths, lifestyles, and goals. The Workforce Solutions of WCT Board is composed of 30 volunteer members from across the 19-county region which hires staff to oversee the operations on the Workforce Contractor. A majority of the Board members must be representatives from private sector businesses and the remaining members represent adult education, secondary education, post-secondary education, literacy, economic development, organized labor, community-based organizations, rehabilitation organizations, public assistance agencies, the Texas Workforce Commission, veterans, and child care.  
Nolan County has 3 representatives on the 30 person regional board.  The Nolan County representatives include Larry Hillis, Ludlum Measurements; Ame Bennett, Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital; and Ken Becker, Sweetwater Economic Development. In the 19 county region, there are four offices to serve the job seekers and the employer.  They are located in Abilene, Brownwood, Snyder, and Sweetwater.  The Sweetwater location is at 1105 Bell St.  You can also reach the Sweetwater Center at 325-235-4324.  Employers can register job openings and job seekers can find employment by registering at the Work in Texas website at www.workintexas.com   Additional information can be found at the Workforce Solutions of WCT website at http://www.workforcesystem.org
