The U.S. surpassed 11 million coronavirus cases on Sunday, according to Johns Hopkins University. It was only six days prior that the country recorded 10 million cases. There were 1,266 deaths reported on Saturday alone.

45 states have reported new infection rates in the past week. More than 246,000 have died from the virus since it was first detected earlier this year.
