Sweetwater lost at Snyder, 15-5, in five innings in District 3-4A baseball action at Snyder on Friday to fall to 1-8 in district play after its seventh straight defeat.

The Sweetwater High School softball and baseball teams will both be at home today for key District 3-4A games. The Lady Mustangs (4-0) will host Big Spring (3-1) at 5 p.m. at Jerry Collins Complex and the baseball team (1-6) will host Snyder (3-4) at 7 p.m. at Sportsman's Park.

Sweetwater High School's girls golf team hosted the second leg of their district golf tournament while the boys went to Levelland for the second leg of their 3-4A tournament. The girls are in second place with one round remaining and the boys are in fourth place.

Sweetwater High School's boys track team had many top finishes when it went to Big Spring for its final pre-district meet.

Three area powerlifters — Sweetwater's Skyler Pulattie and Roscoe's Ezekiel Murphy and David Diaz — had third place regional finishes at their powerlifting meets to qualify as alternates for the state meet this month in Abilene.

Sweetwater High School's soccer teams lost to Snyder to end District 3-4A and regular season play before starting the playoffs, where they will be the No. 4 seeds.
