Sweetwater High School's track athletes competed in a district warmup meet at Big Spring while Roscoe's track athletes hosted their District 8-2A meet earlier this month. Several Roscoe athletes advanced to the District 7/8-2A area meet this week held in Wink.

Sweetwater will go back to Lubbock for the regional tournament later this month after its boys team's second place finish at the District 3-4A golf tournament on Monday at the Shadow Hills Course.

Sweetwater is still unbeaten at 4-0 in District 3-4A softball action after edging Snyder 4-3 in a thrilling game at the Jerry Collins Complex. Snyder (2-2) briefly held a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning but the Lady Mustangs scored single runs in both the fifth and sixth to get the win.

The Sweetwater boys golf team fell into second place Wednesday when it hosted the District 3-4A tournament. However, the Mustangs are still poised to advance to the Region 1-4A tournament with just one round left Monday.

Sweetwater High School will have two boys doubles teams making the trip to Lubbock to compete in the Region 1-4A tennis tournament after a 1-2 finish in Snyder this past week at the District 3-4A tournament.
