TRENT — Blackwell had 50 first quarter points and 86 by halftime of the team's Thursday game at Trent to lead 86-22.
That was more than enough points for the Hornets. The game ended with the 45-point rule making Blackwell's sixth consecutive playoff berth official due to a very convincing victory.
Trent finishes 0-3 in District 13-1A D-II while Blackwell is 2-1 and the No. 2 team in 13-1A, and 6-4 for the season.
The Hornets will return to Trent to face Rising Star, the 14-1A champ, in bi-district at 7 p.m. this Thursday. Blackwell will be the home team.
