HIGHLAND — After 150 points and close to 1,100 yards it was defense that determined the outcome for two teams seeking their first wins in an 8-1A DI barnburner of a game between Highland and Rotan this past Friday.
Cooper Bowen was a big reason too with six touchdowns in the game, three on receptions and three on runs, in Highland's 88-62 win with almost 300 yards himself.
But a defense that allowed 54 points in the first half stopped the bleeding by giving up just eight in the second half, which allowed Highland to rally from a 14-point deficit at halftime.
