Six area football players have been honored for their outstanding play during the 2022 season by Big Country Preps website.
Five of the players are from Sweetwater.
Jace Adames was named as the punter on the third team, and Jacob Gonzales (linebacker), Noel Mekogue (defensive line) and Korda Moore (defensive line) earned honorable mention by Big Country Preps. Also, Moore was named to the Rising Stars team. In addition, Sweetwater's Roman Camacho was named to the True Grit team.
Earning honorable mention from Roscoe was Parker Gleaton at both tight end and on the defensive line.
